Writer, Poet, Linguist and Fine Artist! Lorena Bowser is a multi-talented individual, who has enjoyed success in all of these areas. As a linguist, she has been described as a "word warrior": she enjoys all aspects of language, including teaching, interpreting, translating and writing. She is an accomplished poet and aspiring writer for children. The love of challenge applies to everything she does, in language, the arts, and life. Born and raised in Southern California, as an adult, Lorena spent three years studying in France, and twenty in Mexico where she raised her family and worked in various capacities: she taught French at the French Alliance and University of Mexico while pursuing her fine art, and later worked as graphic illustrator, language professor, interpreter, translator, copy-writer, and aquatic research assistant for the Mexican National Institute of Research on Biotic Resources. After returning to the U.S., she lived with her family in Northern California, and has recently returned “full circle” to Southern California.
